Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive, administrative, and clerical support to the Director of LIFE
  • Coordinate special projects for which the Director of LIFE is responsible
  • Perform other duties in support of the University’s Mission

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree along with 5 years administrative office experience is required, in a higher education setting is preferred. Additional relevant experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required
  • Ability to use a high level of discretion and maintain confidential information
  • Must be able to take initiative, prioritize, and complete work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented office
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail; flexibility in adjusting to changing priorities; and ability to multi-task simultaneous projects is required

Performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, and delivering a variety of materials, parts and supplies to production.

Shift: 2nd

Wage: 18.85/hr

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Pick and deliver parts to the production lines.
  • Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or fork truck.
  • Operating forklift, pallet jack, and tugger.
  • Willingness to cross train into other departments.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Overtime will be required from time to time and this may require weekends.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management.

 

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Fork truck experience is a plus.

Kendall Hunt Publishing is looking for our next Publishing Specialist – Digital to join our Higher Education team. You will focus on developing and coordinating projects with specialization in our online and digital projects.

 

What Will You Do?

As products evolve from print to digital, such as eBooks, websites, etc. the Publishing Specialist step in. The Publishing Specialist – Digital will manage and coordinate projects with specialization in web components. The development phase involves consistent communication between the Acquisitions Editor (sales representative), the Publishing Specialist, and the author to ensure the elements of the project are clearly defined before manuscripts arrive and production begins. The Publishing Specialists serve as an active mediator between several departments, establishing deadlines, collaborating with the Graphic Designers on the book cover, and working with the Permissions Editor to make sure all third part permissions are cleared. When the author has finalized the manuscript, an outside vendor is assigned to complete the copyediting, design layout, typesetting, and art placement. The Publishing Specialist and Acquisitions Editor (sales representative) still monitor the project through completion to ensure quality is maintained.

IT System Administrator

Medical Associates is hiring a System Administrator to join the IT department.

The Clinic:

Medical Associates Clinic is a physician-owned multispecialty group practice. Our 100+ physicians and 900 health care professionals lead the way in providing superior healthcare and excellent patient experiences in Northeast Iowa, Southwest Wisconsin and Northwest Illinois.

The Position:

Provide general administrative and technical support for multiple network & SAN platforms, with a focus on Amisys, Pure SAN storage, Linux, Oracle and backups.

Schedule: Primarily Mon-Fri 8:00-5:00, some after-hours and on-call.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides support for the company’s network and security appliances which includes planning, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting.
  • Analyze unique problems encountered with using the company’s network. Define the problem, test alternatives, and recommend a plan for repair. Provide operational documentation for Help Desk and Desktop Support staff.
  • Participates in short and long-range planning for the department to select and use appropriate technologies to meet the evolving needs of the company and its users.
  • Upgrade and patch our Oracle dbases, write and maintain scripts in our Linux environment to automate tasks and generate reports for ancillary systems.
  • Technical background knowledge of Amisys is preferred.
  • Participate in setting and maintaining backups and data retention standards and policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You Have:

Experience: One to three years of similar or related experience.  Working knowledge of Linux scripting and Oracle and M365 a must.  Experience with Amisys & Pure Storage a plus.

Education: Equivalent to a two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study or certification at a business or trade school.

Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.

Patient Aide, part-time

Medical Associates is hiring a part-time Patient Aide position.

The Position:

  • Interact with patients and visitors by greeting, directing, and assisting them to their destination.
  • Provide safe access to and from main entrances for those patients in need of assistance.

Schedule: This position averages about 20 hours per week.
Work a rotating five day on/five day off schedule, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm.
